Not exactly. One of the most important values for Direct Primary Care (DPC) clinics is affordability. This is what sets us apart from concierge "boutique" clinics. Also, most concierge doctors bill insurance in addition to a high-dollar membership fee. With DPC clinics like Maple Primary care, there are no copays, deductibles, or co-insurance to worry about. The main similarities are the personalized care and the easy access to your doctor, including urgent needs outside of clinic hours.
All office visits, phone visits, and electronic visits are included. A yearly comprehensive physical is included. In-office labs and studies, including rapid strep tests, basic urine analysis, and electrocardiogram (EKG), are included. In-office treatments such as joint injections and a number of skin procedures are included. Members can contact their doctor with urgent questions and management. If possible and safe, your doctor will want to try to handle as much of your healthcare by phone or by electronic messaging. The goal is to save you time, energy, and money.
An affordable monthly membership fee (with discounts for annual billing) allows you to budget your healthcare dollars. No copays, deductibles, co-insurance or hidden costs will prevent you from getting the primary care that you need. The payments are convenient and automatic from your bank account or credit card.

No, we do not. I am sure you have felt the challenges of an insurance-based practice: difficulty reaching your doctor, communication through a medical assistant, long wait times, and rushed office visits. Without the constraints of insurance contracts, we are able to offer direct and easy access, limited to no wait times, same-day or next day appointments and electronic or phone visits.
Yes. Remember you can use your health insurance or Medicare for laboratory testing, imaging, medications, specialist visits and hospitalizations.
The only type of insurance that can be problematic for Direct Primary Care is an HMO (Health Maintenance Organization). This is because HMO’s require patients to have a designated in-network primary care physician and that primary care physician must order all labs, studies and referrals for your insurance to cover any of the costs.
With easy access to your primary care doctor, we strive to decrease urgent care visits and hospitalizations. In instances where hospital care is required, we work closely with the hospitalists and specialists who are taking care of you. We rely on their expertise when hospital care is necessary and we are ready to assume post-hospital follow-up care after discharge from the hospital.
You can cancel your membership at anytime and there is no cancellation fee. We always need a 30-day advance notice for cancellation as we are required by law to offer 30 days of care after the patient-physician relationship has ended. If a previous member would like to re-enroll, we do charge a $250 re-enrollment fee.
Quality medical care comes from continuity of care. Working through a medical problem usually takes more than one office visit and requires follow-up care. We offer one month of service for $300.
Although we offer one month of service, we strongly recommend a membership. Dr. Kainth wants to be your doctor all of the time, not just one month at a time. If you choose one month of service, the doctor-patient relationship ends after 30 days. All care and medication refills will not be managed beyond 30 days. Check out our membership benefits.
